The project provides for Otay Water Treatment Plant Basin #1 Concrete Restoration. Basin #1 was coated about 15 years ago, and the coating exceeded its life expectancy and needs to be replaced. Basin #1 is one of the three basins at Otay Water Treatment Plant that is needed to meet the water supply demand for San Diego's Southern communities. Otay WTP sells water to Otay Water District and California American Water which distribute water to the cities of Coronado, Imperial Beach,& Chula Vista.
