Due to the expansion of the NCWRP, the Metropolitan Biosolids Center (MBC) will experience higher biosolids flows than it is currently receiving. Thus, to accommodate the additional flows, upgrades and improvements of MBC will be necessary. The following unit process equipment will be upgraded: grit removal system, biosolids thickening, anaerobic digestion, biosolids dewatering, centrate pumping station and chemical systems.
